Today was equally as frustrating as yesterday, but a few good things did happen. So, I guess that means we are making progress?
First, I was able to catch Logan's signs that he needed to go poo poo. Every time before this, he would tell me poo poo and then go to the changing table saying "white table". I would tell him that the changing table was for babies and that he was a big boy and needed to use the big boy potty. He did not like that. So, when I saw that he was trying to squat, I picked him up and put him on the potty. He didn't fight it. It took him a few minutes, but he did his business in the potty! Yay Logan!!!! I was so proud of him. I rewarded him with a brand new yellow matchbox car. He was very excited about the car.
Second, we made it through nap time today dry. This was great. I tried to praise him, but he wasn't the happiest of campers when he woke up today.
Third, he actually went pee pee on the potty--without us scooping him up and running. Granted we had him sit down on the toilet just before bathtime, but after a minute or two, he actually went! We yelled and clapped and cheered. I think that made him happy. He did have a great bathtime after that.
We did have a few accidents today, but I guess that is to be expected on day #2. Now, supposedly, Logan will "get" it tomorrow on day #3. I am still a little skeptical. Kevin thinks it will take one more day. He may be right. Maybe the cloth diaper thing makes it a little different for that wet feeling of the underwear. Who knows.
