Potty Training Day #1

So, we are half way through, and man, watching Logan is like watching paint dry.  We have not yet made it to the potty before he finishes going.  I have not been able to catch a "sign" that he is about to go.  We have had 4 accidents thus far.  I suppose it could be worse.  The last one, he was laying down playing with his cars.  Again, there was no sign of him needing to go.  All of the sudden, I saw the puddle.

It is now naptime.  It is later than usual, but I wanted to wait until he went to try to make it through naptime dry.  We'll see.

I am trying to follow Jensen's instructions.  I hope I am doing it right.  I am constantly telling him to let me know if he has to go.  We do the "dry" big boy underwear checks.  I am offering him drinks.  I am trying to scoop him up to bring him to the potty as soon as I see him start to go.  I guess on the bright side, he did tell me twice that he "needed" the potty.  However, each time was not long after he already went, so he didn't really have to go.  But, we pulled down the underwear and sat for a few seconds.

When he woke up from his nap, he was mostly dry.  His underwear were a little damp, but not so much as if he actually went to the bathroom.  We had a couple of accidents after naptime, but there was one time we made it and he finished in the toilet!!!  Yay!!!  He did tell us several times that he needed to go potty, but every time, he sat and did nothing.

It was a frustrating day, just as Jensen said it would be.  She also said he may not get it until the end of day 3.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better and he will start to get it, or at least we will make it to the toilet to finish.

But, for now, let's hope that maybe he'll make it through the night with no accidents....or at least only one.
