Adventures with the Big Boy Bed

We decided it was time to move Logan to a big boy bed.  We were waiting to do it until the big boy room was finished, but after seeing how he could throw his leg over the top of the crib, our minds had been made up.

Thanks to Lorri and Jeff for giving us the boys' beds, and thanks to Ray for giving us the safety rail. 

On Saturday, we set up the bed in Logan's room. 

Logan really likes his new bed.  However, napping in it is a different story.  Things could not have gone any worse yesterday at nap time.  I tried laying down with him--no dice.  He screamed and threw a tantrum.  Needless to say, he did not have a nap yesterday. 

Bedtime was a whole different story.  Logan and I read a few stories, then we turned out the light.  I laid with him for a few minutes, said good-night, and left.  He was out like a light.  I guess no nap and staying up a half hour later waiting for sheets to dry will do that to you.

Naptime was only slightly better on day #2.  Logan eventually went down for a nap, but after much "playing" around and trying to get out of the room.  When he did finally fall asleep, it was on the floor, right by the door.

Hopefully tonight will go better.  We will have to wait until next weekend to see how naptime goes again.
