Birthday Party

We had a little cook-out for my boy's 2nd birthday.  It was small--we invited the neighbors and the family.  The cookout didn't start until after 4pm.  We spent the early part of the day preparing--getting food ready, cleaning the house, making sure Logan took a nap.

After said nap, Logan awoke and came downstairs.  We had put his remaining presents on the dining room table.  Logan noticed them and quietly got up on a chair, reached as far as his little Logan arms could, and grabbed one of them.

So, of course we had to let him open the present.  It was some more cars, because my boy can't have enough cars.

Finally, guest began to arrive.  Logan had tons of fun playing with Dillon, Uncle Ray, Aunt Erica, Aunt Lorri, Uncle Jeff, and his cousins--Jeffrey, Dan, Kara, and Nicole.  They played with cars, they blew bubbles (see awesome bubble video here), Logan went in the pool, they swung in the hammock, and of course--cake and presents!!

Logan tries to crawl away from Nicole and Kara.
Nicole seems really into Logan's story.
I wonder what is in this bottle?
Kara, I'm just gonna get comfortable over here.   I hope you don't mind.
Here Kara.  Maybe this bottle of bubbles will revive you.
What Dan does best?

Soon after hammock time...it was cake time!!!  Yay for yummy cupcakes!!!

Are all those for me?
Did you hear...those are for me!!

I choose this one, with the #2 on it.
So tasty.
Just one more bite.
The cupcake with the chocolate icing was gooooooood.
I can't believe I ate 2 cupcakes.
I think this length of track goes here.
Let me just sit down right here.
Logan-saurus grabs the bridge and stops train traffic.
I'm gonna go.  I'm done with this train wreck.

Logan had a fabulous birthday.  He got to see his family, he got his chip on, and he received a bunch of really fun new toys.  What more could a 2-year-old want?
