Bluebonnet Fail?

Tradition here in Texas dictates that if you have children, you must do the obligatory photos of them in a sea of bluebonnets every spring.  Now some parents stop on the side of Mopac and put themselves and their kid(s) in danger just to capture a few shots.  Not me.  I try to find a nice field to bring the kids to.

This year, due to the much needed (and still needed) rain in January and February, the bluebonnets were beautiful and plentiful this year.  So, one morning, Kevin and I took Logan and Scarlet to Champion Park to get our photos.

Long story short...neither would cooperate.  Logan wouldn't stay still, let alone sit for a picture.  And, Scarlet became hungry about 5 minutes into it.  Furthermore, I forgot to check the batteries in both cameras I brought.  Epic fail on my part.

We still might try again--if the sun comes out later...or maybe tomorrow morning.  In any case, here are the photos we got that morning.
this one isn't that bad

Help!!  I'm being swallowed up by bluebonnets.

This is the only one we got of Logan.

  1. Love the first pic of Scarlet laying down. I like the Bluebonnet shadows.
