So, it's a little late, but better late than never. I don't know what stopped me from posting it on time. Well, I do know. I was very tired.
On July 29th, Logan and I took advantage of a Facebook Deals coupon I bought and we went to the Austin Zoo. It's not a huge zoo, but it's a good place to start. At first Logan liked it, but then, he wasn't so much into the animals. Maybe when he is a little older, we will take him to the zoo in San Antonio and he will enjoy that more.
But, I did get a few good pictures of him "interacting" with the animals.
| The owners have a one-eyed cat, and Logan was entranced with him. |
| What animal is in there Logan? |
| There were several types of monkeys there. Most were small like this ring-tailed one. |
| Looking over the fence at the monkeys. |
| They had 3 tigers. It was hot that day...the water looked refreshing. |
| Logan looking at the tigers. |
| There was also a lion. Roar! |
| The zoo also had a section with petting zoo type animals that you could feed. |
| Logan dropped the feed into the trough instead of putting his hand out. |
| Cute deer |
| Logan decided he needed a rest in the shade near the deer. |
The zoo had one other attraction that Logan was super excited about. It had a train that you could ride. Logan loves trains.
| I must climb over this fence to get to that train! |
| I can't wait. I am first in line!! Yay!! |
| Let's go!! |
| Look at that over there. |
| What's up ahead? |
All in all it was a fun morning. We brought our lunch and had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches by the lions. We got to be outside before it became extremely hot. I got to spend some fun time with my Logan.
