Since it is officially summer (graduation was Friday--yay!), I decided that Logan and I will create some art over the summer. I bought this great book during spring break, First Art: Art Experiences for Toddlers and Twos, and can't wait to use it. I has so many fun things in it I think Logan will love.
Well, during spring break, I also bought some other art supplies. And, I thought today was as good as any to try them out. Of course I bought the traditional finger paint pots, but I also found these paints and thought they would be easy to work with.
They come in little trays and I thought Logan can dip his fingers in and have at it.
Logan was super excited when I tied on his red apron. It was like he knew what was coming....
paper and paint.
Logan had a lot of fun. He even had a taste of the gel paint--yum. He had his finger in his mouth before I could stop him.
All in all, I really like the gel paints for the ease of use and the "not-so-messy" media it is. It also gave him more color choices than what is in the finger paints package. I am excited to keep making art with Logan. I hope he is excited too!
