Logan can just about sit up from being down

Logan has been sitting very well...but assisted by us or by the boppy pillow.  Well, tonight he laid back onto the boppy and then was able to pull himself up into the sitting position.  Yay Logan!!!!  We are very proud of how far he has come.

Attempt at Acorn Squash

I am going to attempt making my own acorn squash baby food.  I've included the link at the side of the page for baby food recipes.  I hope all goes well.  Below are pics of the backed squash and the puree before going into the freezer.  We tried it tonight.  Logan did okay.

Tooth or no Tooth

We are thinking that maybe, just maybe Logan is finally started to teeth...He has been drooling constantly.  I hear it can take up to a month for a tooth to come in.  He was a little fussy today.  Who knows what is going on.  I hope it comes in quickly and it doesn't hurt him too much.

Nighttime Routine--Day 2

Logan was not having the bath tonight. He screamed. At first I thought the water was too hot (even though it didn't feel hot and I think the water has been hotter before), so I added some cold and put him back in the tub. He didn't really like that either. So, we brought him upstairs. Kevin read him his book and then we put him down. He cried for a few minutes. I picked him up and rocked him for a few minutes and then put him back down. He cried for another minute and then played with his tigger and went to sleep.

I guess, so far, so good.

Nighttime Routine--Day 1

We decided that we needed a nighttime routine for Logan...we would (most likely me--sad) bath him around 9pm. Then "we" would read a story and he would go down into his crib around 9:30

So, today was the first night we are doing this. The bath went well, but he loves his bath. He is in his ducky tub, which I use in the big tub in the downstairs bathroom. I like that he is no longer in the stages tub, but I hate having to sit on the ground to bath him...it totally sucks. We went up, I put him in his sleeper, and put him in the crib. But first, I read him Are You My Mother? He kept trying to pull the book from me.

I laid him on his tummy, which he didn't like. It's a shame because I hate that he sleeps on his back--his flat head really, really bothers me. Maybe I can roll him when we go to bed. Anyway, He did okay. He fussed a few times, but it was because he lost his paci. I think it went well. It took maybe 5-10 minutes before I left the room--I hung out in the glider for a while and almost fell asleep myself. I hope tomorrow goes as well. It'll be great to have a routine for Logan.

I can't believe how big he is getting... time is just flying. I barely remember what he looked like when he was so tiny.

Splashing in the Ducky Tub

Tonight was the first night in the ducky tub.  We are no longer going to use the stages tub as I feel Logan is too long for it.  Logan likes the tub.  He sits well in it and it is easy to wash his cute little tushy in it and for him to "lay back" so I can wash his peach fuzz (hair).  The only downside is now I have to sit on the ground to wash him as the ducky tub is in the big tub and the stages tub could be used in the sink.

So, thanks to Libby Fischer for the tub...we love it.

first night, big boy crib

So, we decided to move Logan to the crib AND have him sleep in his room. Friday night was the first night. He slept like a pro. Nothing stirred him. He didn't wake up crying. I on the other hand did not sleep so well. I kept checking the monitor. I woke up with lots of pains from my horrible sleep.

We did it again last night. I was so tired that I woke up only once and checked the monitor. Again, Logan slept the whole night without waking up. When I woke up to get him this morning he was turned around--his head was where I had put his feet.

I guess I have nothing to worry about. I hope he continues to sleep well. Yay Logan!!!
