Tuesday's Ten

It's been a while since I did a Tuesday's Ten.  I thought it was about time to do one.  There are many things I think I should record for posterity, but I never do it.

LOGAN'S TEN:

  1. He is stringing together 2 and 3 words now into sentences.  Example, "I watch House?"  He also occasionally uses big words like "delicious".
  2. He loves cars--a lot!  He takes them with us.  First he carried them in a woven basket, then in a blue plastic basket, and now in one of his trucks.  The other night he was cleaning them in the bathtub.
  3. Logan has gotten into painting again.  That makes me happy.
  4. For a while, Logan was getting up before 6am and coming into our room.  We bought him an "okay to wake clock".  Unfortunately, it is not working as well as we would like.  However, he is coming into our room later now.
  5. He loves Scarlet so much.  He wants her with us.  When she is not there, he asks where Baby is.  Today he asked where Scarlet was.  So cute.
  6. Logan is "frightened" of larger than life characters.  We went to a pbs thing a couple of weekends ago and he was nervous to go up to the dog and super why characters.
  7. Logan has begun to trace letters--all on his own.  We bought him an app for the iPad to practice.
  8. Speaking of the iPad...Logan can use it better than I can.  How crazy is that?
  9. Logan is really into his sandbox.  He plays in there with his cars.
  10. Logan (and Scarlet) now have a dedicated playroom.  He enjoys playing in there with his cars.  He can paint when he wants.  It's a nice room.  It also helps him not to be distracted by the TV.

SCARLET'S TEN
  1. She is still going strong with nursing.  It's been 2 months--yay!!
  2. She sleeps through the night from time to time.  She will do a 5-6 hour stint before resuming her normal 3 hour stretch.
  3. She has outgrown her newborn clothes.  So sad because she had a couple of cute dresses.
  4. Scarlet is only using cloth pocket diapers.  No more disposables for her!
  5. She is a smiling maniac!
  6. Scarlet has started tummy time.  She can tolerate it for 5 minutes or so.  I think she likes it better when we use the boppy to prop her up.
  7. She is a noisy sleeper.  She grunts and makes other annoying, yet cute noises in her sleep.  Hopefully she will grow out of this.
  8. She is doing well taking the occasional bottle.  I was worried about this.  But, when we give it to her, she does take it.
  9. Scarlet is having more awake times during the day.  She likes to look around.  There isn't much more that she can do yet, but it's fun that she isn't sleeping all the time.
  10. Scarlet loves bath time.  She smiles when I put her in the tub.  I hope she continues to like bath time.
